Privacy policy
Amountle is a free daily estimation game. This policy describes the data used to run the game, leaderboards, analytics, and app purchases.
Game and leaderboard data
Game progress, streaks, preferences, web share-reward progress and equipped cosmetic, first-touch campaign attribution, and analytics consent are stored in your browser or app storage. To operate and improve the game, Amountle also sends a randomly generated persistent device identifier, game mode, day number, score, and round-level guesses, actual counts, and object labels to Supabase. A valid completed game is automatically added to the relevant leaderboard under a randomly generated display name; if you choose a different display name, that name, score, device identifier, and applicable cosmetic tier or style may also be stored. Do not use your real name if you prefer not to. If the optional web account preview is enabled and you sign in, Supabase also processes your email address and an account identifier. Amountle stores a one-time backup of supported local progress, server-issued premium entitlements, and your premium loadout against that account. If an explicitly authorized premium price test is enabled, Supabase also stores the account’s sticky price variant and first eligible market-exposure time for that scheduled test run. That record is created independently of optional analytics consent so purchases and the experiment denominator cover the same signed-in population; it does not contain game guesses, an email address, or payment-card data. If the optional Friend Pass preview is enabled, a server-issued invite token may be retained in your browser for up to 14 days and is rejected by the server after its expiry. After a daily completion, the browser may retain that token, game day, time, and signed-in account identifier for up to two days so a temporary network or account-verification failure can be retried; a terminal server response removes that retry record. A qualifying signed-in daily completion records the inviting and referred account identifiers, internal referral code, game day, reward state, and time so a reward cannot be claimed repeatedly. The other player’s email address is not shown to either player.
Analytics
Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity load on the website only after you select “allow.” They may process page paths, interactions, campaign attribution, approximate location derived from IP address, device/browser information, and session recordings used to find usability problems. The native iOS app also uses these services for operational game and purchase-funnel analytics. App Store links may contain Apple provider and campaign tokens so App Store Connect can report product-page views, first-time downloads, usage, and sales for the web campaign; Amountle does not put your email address, account identifier, referral code, or game guesses in those links. If a clearly labeled daily sponsor is present, analytics may record that the sponsor placement was viewed or clicked; Amountle does not share your game guesses or device identifier with that sponsor. Amountle does not use these tools for advertising profiles. You can change your web choice below.
Local data
Local storage keeps your progress and preferences on your device. The web share vault records only the distinct Amountle days on which the browser reported a successful share action or result copy, plus the equipped cosmetic. Those days determine the displayed streak and unlock one cosmetic on each of the first 16 distinct reward days. A Share Vault reward does not identify a recipient, verify that a link was opened, or attribute an app install. Friend Pass, if separately enabled, is account-based: sharing, opening a link, or installing the app alone never grants a reward. Unless you choose the optional account preview, clearing browser data removes that collection and other local progress. If you sign in, supported local progress is backed up once so the preview can preserve the device state before cross-device sync is introduced. Some gameplay fields are also sent as described above; therefore local game data should not be considered entirely private to the device, and clearing site/app data does not automatically delete server records.
Purchases and contributions
Optional iOS purchases are processed by Apple. Optional web purchases are processed through RevenueCat Billing using Stripe as the payment gateway. Amountle does not receive or store full payment-card details. Purchases require an Amountle account. Amountle Gem packs (shown as a faceted Gem beside a leaderboard name) and Streak Freeze are repeatable consumables; Archive, Supporter, Spotlight, and Crew Packs are one-time purchases, not subscriptions. A Gem pack adds either one or five units to the verified total. For each consumable, Amountle retains the provider event and transaction identifiers, signed-in account identifier, product, environment, status, unit count, and event time needed to prevent duplicate credit and reconcile refunds. Provider transaction details remain private; leaderboards receive only the aggregate Gem total, while the account receives only its own freeze balance. A confirmed refund revokes the associated access, subtracts the refunded Gem pack’s exact unit count, or makes an unused paid freeze unavailable while preserving the audit record needed for support and reconciliation. Web checkout remains disabled until the documented production verification is complete. Separate Buy Me a Coffee contributions do not unlock perks or cosmetics.
